Courses at Atelier Wels

Creativity grows with every brushstroke. The art school supports children and teenagers throughout the semester and helps them continue developing their creativity. We complement public-school education with creative experiences and a wide range of artistic techniques. The art school takes place every Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, is open to children aged five and over and is taught in small, age-appropriate groups. New participants can join at any time. For many former students, the art school was where their enthusiasm for art began. Some later even turned that passion into a career. Perhaps your creative journey will begin with us too!

During the summer, autumn, semester and Easter holidays, as well as on Saturdays in Advent, Atelier Wels becomes a creative workshop. Children and teenagers try artistic techniques, discover their creativity and create unique works of art with professional guidance. Creativity, fun and inspiration included!

We create individual creative workshops for companies, associations, institutions and service clubs, designed for groups of around 15 people and lasting two to three hours. Whether you are planning a creative evening, team event or workshop, Atelier Wels in the Alte Rahmenfabrik provides the right setting. In an inspiring and relaxed atmosphere, participants create individual work with professional guidance. No previous experience is required.

Drawing the human body is one of the classical exercises in visual art. Life drawing is about consciously observing anatomy, proportion, posture and expression, then translating these observations into drawing. With expert guidance, participants deepen their understanding step by step and continue developing their drawing skills. Close observation is just as important as finding a personal form of artistic expression.

Life-drawing sessions alternate between professionally guided and independent practice.
